Client: {Popmart} Project: POPMART Blind Box Mini Program Year: 2021 Role: Lead Designer – Interaction & Visual Design Background POPMART is a unicorn company and a leading player in China’s designer toy industry. The company was officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (09992.HK) on December 11, 2020. Following its IPO, POPMART aggressively expanded its omnichannel strategy, with its WeChat Mini Program becoming a key component of its digital sales and customer engagement efforts. Objective In 2021, my team was invited by POPMART to redesign its online blind box experience through a WeChat Mini Program. Results After launch, the redesigned Mini Program quickly gained popularity among toy enthusiasts. The immersive gameplay and fresh interface received widespread praise, significantly boosting engagement and sales. Within just six months, the Mini Program generated over 162 million RMB in revenue, becoming one of POPMART’s most successful digital products.
